We recenty went to LA/Laguna Beach for Todd's cousin's wedding. He is currently playing with the Foo Fighters so it was awesome to see (stare/stalk) the band at the wedding. Here is a picture with Dave Grohl (lead singer for foo fighter).

Maggie, Zada, Mom and I then headed to Las Vegas to ring in the Big 30!!! It was a great birthday!!

Annual Halloween Party

We had our annual halloween party at Brandis and Cam's house and it was a blast. Everyone kept their costumes under wraps so it was such a surprise to see what everyone was. Although, I wasn't planning on going all out again this year, I did get into the halloween spirit and decide to portray my best flavor flav impersonation. Well, it took me quite a while to find a salon that would do cornrows, but once that was accomplished, everything else fell into place!

Jan, Knox and I went to visit all the cousins in Birmingham last week! It was so great to see everyone. Ethan & Chase are too cute for words. They each have their own little personalities. Micah is so funny and even though Knox was a little under the weather, he enjoyed his time with the boys!

Well, we did it. We went to Todd Boswell Salon this afternoon to get Knox's first hair cut. He did pretty good considering they chopped off all his curly, long hair. He kept touching it and looking at me like "mom, is it really gone"? He really looks like a little boy now...awe, sort of sad. He was a very happy camper after we left the salon. He really didn't like all the women staring at him and pinching his chubby little cheeks.

I finally did it......that is, made knox's first haircut appt. We are getting it cut tomorrow afternoon. Im sad b/c I know he will look all grown up with his big boy hair cut!! We had a great time at the crawfish party on Saturday. Thank everyone so much for coming and celebrating Knox's first bday. He had a blast on his new wagon that Aunt T, Aunt Jilly Bean, & Aunt Georgia Ann gave him. Thanks Mrs. Jody for pulling he and Carson around all day. He got a lot of great presents. He especially loved all his toys, guy harvey t-shirt, bathing suits and sunglasses!! I can't wait to take him to the Island this summer. He wore his little outfit that Aunt Jami gave him. Thanks Jami!! He once again got to enjoy some yummy cake. Maybe I secretly got him 3 cakes for my benefit too!! We also got some wonderful news at the party....Brandis and Cam are expecting!!! YEA!!! We had a mini birthday party for Knox yesterday but his real bday party is going to be on Saturday. He loved his new little car. He was going down the neighborhood honking the horn at everyone. He also had a great way of eating his cake.....He would dip his pacifier in it and then put the paci in his mouth. Funny boy.

Ok, for the 4TH TIME this week, someone has mistaken Knox for a little girl. I mean, I just don't see it but it happens ALL the time. We were eating lunch yesterday and 2 different waitresses said "Can I get HER a high chair"? Todd said if I cut his hair this would stop happening but I refuse to cut his hair!!I dress him like a boy and yesterday his bib even said "PRINCE", C'mon Peeps, take a better look, he is totally a BOY!!!! In Church on Sunday, someone said, "Oh, she has beautiful eyes" I mean, he had a GONE FISHIN outfit on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Knox had his 9 month check up yesterday (yes, very late). He weighed 24 lbs and was 30 inches long. He is still in the 90th percentile in weight and 95th percentile in height. He is just a BIG boy. All went well and thank goodness there were no shots!!

Knox went to the Dr for a cold and we thought he may have an ear infection but thank goodness everything looked good, no ear infection. He weighed 22.8 lbs so he has slowed down a little bit!!! The nurses still thought he was 12 mos. He is so freaking tall!!!! I guess he got his height from me.

Its amazing how smart kids are these days. Knox was working on his resume today. We figure the earlier he goes to work, the sooner we'll be able to retire. His experience includes...drooling, eating, drinking, sleeping, holding own feet and crying.

6 month check up

Knox had his 6 month check up yesterday & just as we thought....Big Boy is still BIG. He weighs 21 1/2 lbs (95th percentile) and is 29 inches long (95th percentile). His check up went good. He got his shots and barely shed a tear. I'm sure he couldn't feel the shots too much as he has a lot of cushion.

Well, we are very fortunate that Knox is a great night time snoozer. He has been sleeping 11/12 hours during the night for a couple of months now. However, he now has a new way of going to sleep.
